materials
Material Good's materials are all commercially manufactured products with manufacturer's warranties. Most products can be installed like a similar conventional product. All the materials are somehow environmentally friendly in their composition, non-toxicity, recycled content, local origins, or other manner.
bamboo
Our bamboo flooring can't be beat in terms of quality. Our manufacturers use only bamboo that has reached maturity, been dried beyond industry standards, and laminate the flooring with low-VOC adhesives. Bamboo is available finished with a water based no-VOC urethane or unfinished.
palm
A gorgeus, deep exotic look, palm flooring comes from coconut palms after their productive life is finished. Finished like bamboo, with a no-VOC urethane.

cork
Cork flooring is a renewable tree bark--it is the only tree that doesn't die when its bark is removed. Cork is easy on the back and knees in areas where you plan to stand a lot. It comes in unfinished tiles, prefinished tiles, and a floating “click” tile.

hardwood
A wide range of Forest Stewardship Council Certified hardwoods, salvaged and reclaimed hardwoods and regional woods like mesquite and fir.

recycled rubber
Made in part from used tires, recycled rubber flooring is a commercial grade floor that won't wear out! Easy on the knees, it comes in many great colors.

natural wool carpet
Wool carpet is a 30+ year floor! Not treated with any chemical stain blocker or other substance that contributes to that bad (and toxic) "new carpet smell." Floor coverings and rugs include wool, sisal, seagrass, and combinations of wool, linen, and cotton.

marmoleum
This product is linoleum made the old fashioned way--with wood flour, resins, and backed with jute! It is far more beautiful and durable than polyvinyl which is what we think of as linoleum today. Available in 13” x 13” or 20” x 20” glue-down tiles or the “Click” floating floor system in 12” x 36” planks or 12” x 12” tiles.
