A bag with Hermès bite! Shown during the fall 2016 menswear collections, designer Véronique Nichanian interprets the Hermès "Bolide 45" with appliqued with over-stitched leather insets to create a bag that resembles military aircraft "nose art" with a mischievous and surprising smiling shark face.
A trapezoidal bag designed in 1916 to be packed and stowed in an automobile, the Bolide introduced the world to the first bag with a "zipper" closure, perfect for keeping goods safe while traveling at high speeds. The "sac pour l'auto" was adapted once again during the 1980s into various sizes from smaller handbags to oversized weekenders.
The limited edition bag comes in bleu indigo (inky blue/black) Togo leather with Palladium plated hardware. The Bolide 45 includes the lock, keys, clochette, leather card, two small dust bags, dust bags, box, and ribbon.
